“I can’t tell Asian people apart”
One of the many things I come across time and time again on @alittleracist, is the absolutely ludicrous statement that “I can’t tell Asian people apart” or, “Asian people all look the same”.
The statement in itself smacks of complete and utter ignorance: What do you mean by ‘Asia’? The continent you’ve just lobbed into one big pile is the world’s largest and most populous continent, covering 30% of the land area of the earth, and has around 60% of the world’s current human population.
Encompassing countries as different as Russia, Indonesia, Afghanistan, Japan, Thailand, and India, it encompasses some of the most technologically advanced cities in the world – and places where electricity is a rarity.
So, if lumping all of Asia into one big bucket isn’t insult enough, you claim not to be able to tell Asian people apart? Let’s give it a shot, shall we:
Try and see if you can tell these people apart…
See how easy that was?
Now let’s cut it with the idiocy. Thanks.
